Tele911 Appoints Dr. Ramon Lizardo as New CEO
Dr. Lizardo will spearhead Tele911’s impressive trajectory in reducing 911 transports and increasing ER diversion, ultimately transforming the EMS system nationwide.
November 11th, 2022 -Tele911 announced today that Dr. Ramon Lizardo, MD has been appointed new CEO of the company. As an experienced business leader, Dr. Lizardo will succeed Dr. Marc Eckstein assuming all responsibilities on November 11th, 2022. Dr. Eckstein will now assume the role of Chief Medical Officer for Tele911.
Dr. Ramon Lizardo, MD is an ER diversion visionary with over a decade of experience leading tech organizations to scale with a focus on healthcare value, efficiency, and lowering cost care. He is affiliated with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway.
While previously serving as VP Clinical Enterprise Strategy at Clarify Health Solutions, Dr. Lizardo implemented clinical data strategy advisory across Horizon, Cigna, Highmark, and the Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans. He also provided thought leadership across Payers, Providers, and Life Science with a focus on value-based care, network design, utilization benchmarking, clinical performance, and population health management. Additionally, he designed nationwide strategies for ER diversion through the ET3 CMMI model.
Dr. Lizardo attended Cornell University, Universidad Iberoamericana, and Rutgers University studying data analytics, medicine, and biological sciences. Dr. Lizardo will bring a unique skill set and tailored expertise to the team and we are thrilled to welcome him as our new CEO of Tele911.
